2015 Pooch Parade Design

2015_PP_Design

We recruited students from Dawn LaRaia’s 5th grade class to come up with a design to go with this year’s Pooch Parade theme “Seniors Need Second Chances Too”. We had a hard time choosing from all the exceptional designs, but after many long deliberations, 11 year old (He was 10 at the time of submission.) Tyler’s entry was selected. Tyler’s drawing will be featured on our flyers, brochures, t-shirts and Pooch Parade website. Congratulations Tyler!

Below are pictures from Tuesday, June 2, 2015 thank you pizza celebration party at CARL’s Pet Care Center to honor all the participants who submit designs. Dawn’s class surprised us with a donation of $240 to help with the care of our dogs.

Thank you Dawn LaRaia and all your students for making this year’s Pooch Parade extra special and for your generous donation!

Congratulations to Mrs. LaRaia’s students at Driffill School for raising awareness, and funds, to support the dogs at CARL’s Pet Care Center and provided the art for brochures and posters of the Canine Adoption and Rescue League’s annual Pooch Parade event; the focus being “Seniors Need Second Chances Too”. Students combined their own drawings with iPad enhancements. Thank you Karlene Porter from CARL for the partnership and encouraging our students to get involved in the community!
