Thank You Driffill Elementary School!

Monday, May 19, 5th grade students from Driffill Elementary School had a field trip to the kennel. They recently heard about some abused dogs and after a class discussion thought they would like to help some dogs and decided to take up a collection for CARL. The teacher, Mrs. LaRaia, and 32 students presented to Mary Saputo a check for their efforts. They toured the kennel with Mary, Laura & Karlene as their guides. They played with Sonya, Bono and Annie in the play areas and learned about the day to day activities of kennel life. As they were leaving, Sharon brought in a little white terrier mix dog that was found and the students voted to name him “Stevie”. He is now their classroom mascot! CARL thanks the students & their teacher for their generous donation and to Mrs. LaRaia for thinking of CARL.
